Hi Steve, That is great news. The ISS Detector app looks pretty limited. We are not sure how you could get any output from it to drive SARCTRAC. Good luck with it, though. Kind regards and stay safe.

Love the Sarctrac. I have it working with Satpc32 but would like to get it on the ISSDETECTOR on my smartphone. One of the features of Issdector is rotor control now but have not heard of anyone using it yet. I'm starting to velcro an ELK antenna to the top of the rotator box at a 15 degree angle.
This is my favorite antenna and with the 15 degree elevation built in it should work well. any help would be appreciated. I love this rotator and if I can get the Elk on it and use the smartphone then a small battery will power my station. Thank you for making the Sarctrac.

Julie and Joe, just wanted to let you know that I had a successful startup today and it is working well from Florida. Still some tweaks and minor adjustments for the safety lanyard and such but all good. Many thanks for an outstanding and quality product and great service as well. I will be shooting at ISS tonight as well as trying it out with the various weather satellites here. A demonstration at our local club will be soon on the schedule. Hi JJ,
That is great news. In manual mode, the start/stop command works on both motors. You could always disconnect the elevation motor.

Thank you for your prompt reply . I had actually found the the dongle Id when I plugged it into my Microsoft surface . Mr Google helped with rest . I do realise I need to study the manual a bit more ! Wonder if there is a separate command to activate the el rotator on its own ? Thanks . ( by the way it is all working as per manual) Thanks . Recently received Sarctrac rotator . Trying to set up software on Win 10 computer . The WiFi dongle is not recognised by the computer due to no driver. Tried on a second computer to no avail. Where does one source the driver ? What is the actual name or manufacturer of this de vice , so as to down load the driver ? Thanks !
